monday night football

It's interesting the emotional ties that people develop for various reasons. First of all, ESPN, from a advertising point of view has done an amazing job of furthering the cultural phenomenon of sports and more specifically Monday Night Football. ESPN's coverage of MNF tonight did an amazing job of tying sports into our lives and the significant role that it plays in our culture. The game took place in the hurricane ravaged city of New Orleans, in the the newly renovated and revamped Superdome. The pregame show focused on the destruction and rebuilding process of N.O., but more signifcantly on the people involved, and the lives changed by such an event. The significance of this game to the people of N.O., I think, is something that I can't really understand because I don't have the same insight and experiences that they have, but to me it was such a sign of things starting to change and move in the right direction. I dunno, I was inspired, for what that's worth. oh. saints won 23-3.
